Toasted

I quite enjoy cooking but I have to admit feeling extremely lazy at times. Which is why my past few lunches have consisted of toast with a variety of interesting toppings like jam and banana. Yesterday's dinner was a sandwich from pret, the night before that was a pizza. I'm hankering for warm, tasty food but when you work from home you cant be bothered to cook anything resembling that for lunch. And I'm a bit over pasta, and so totally over pesto. Not a fan of the pesto at all at the mo. I got a can of beans in the cupboard... hmmmm. Toast it is then. Again.

You would have actually qualified for a chef's position at Elvis Presley's Graceland.

As long as you could add peanut butter to the toasted banana sandwiches.

Mmmm, yes I think you're confusing me with being scottish - deep-fried Mars Bars? *bleuch*
Also beans, along with Burgen bread are all low-GI foods - very good for you. Havent tried toasted peanut butter and banana sandwiches - but they sound rather nice. This has turned out to be a gourmet food weekend fresh meat and veggie from portobello markets, loads of fruit plus exercise in the form of hatha yoga. All to be spoiled by burger king late on a saturday night in the west-end - ah well, at least i try.

Hey! Don't mock the deep-fried mars bars! They are the most delicious dessert available if you've recently had an argument with your arteries!

Mmm, unusual sanwich fillings - I'd suggest getting a millionaire's shortbread, cutting off the shortbread (you can eat this seperately, put the rest between to bits of bread (along with a few marshmallows) and make a toastie out of that.

Don't knock it till you've tried it :)
